When it comes to restoring a Mid-Century Modern Home preservation is KEY!! Depending on the pre-existing condition and the integrity of the home, the more original the better! There are some things that should be added and updated though. Depending on your budget, it can be easy to get carried away because the possibilities are unlimited!!

The home in the pictures below is located at 3535 Summitridge Drive in Atlanta GA. It is currently for sale CLICK HERE for more info.  The renovations took place from December through February. The pictures below show the dramatic cosmetic improvements, but what you can’t see are the new systems: roof, electrical and plumbing… every detail of this home has been taken into account!!

AFTER: The Exterior was painted with a modern Grey. Fresh Landscaping which included a rock garden, a new arbor and a horizontal privacy fence adds to the curb appeal.

Unknown 3 Before & After a Dramatic Mid-Century Modern Renovation!AFTER: The Original builder had this cut out designed for a garden. Over the years the wood beams rotted away and left a void in the roof line. The renovations restored the original character and added a modern twist with the (low-maintenance) rock garden. The round ball light fixtures are original to the house.
